ProData tools FREE to Academia

Omaha, NE, February 12, 2007 - ProData Computer Services, Inc. announces FREE releases of software to all schools involved in IBM’s Academic Initiative and to college students competing in IBM’s System i Innovation Challenge contest.

With this offering, ProData hopes to support IBM’s initiative to increase student awareness of the “all-in-one” IBM System i computer with the use of their flagship product, DBU, the “all-in-one” database tool and it’s other software offerings.

As students progress thru the phases of the Innovation Challenge, utilization of ProData’s productivity tools is beneficial.  The utilities can support students within each phase of the contest.  DBU aids students in the research of databases, SQL/Pro streamlines queries and RSP RPG Server Pages enables development of web applications.

ProData is also announcing a challenge of their own.  The ‘DBU Challenge’ contest encourages those working on the System i to submit ideas for new productivity tools or enhancements to ProData’s current utilities. Contestant’s ideas may ‘become the next DBU’, proliferated worldwide, with a cash prize of $1000 awarded at the end of the contest.  Participants can submit their ideas directly on the website at www.prodatacomputer.com.
