ProData Announces DBU 6.0 Upcoming Release

Omaha, NE, February 19, 2001 - ProData announces flexible software for iSeries 400 DB2. ProData Computer Services, Inc. announces the upcoming release of DBU (Database Utility) 6.0 for iSeries 400 database access. ProData found that just about everyone accesses files on the iSeries 400, but not everyone wants to access the databases in the same manner. ProData’s DBU 6.0 offers multiple ways to get to the data without programming. The user now has the choice between a GUI version, the traditional green screen version, or thru the Operations Navigator to get at the DB2 database.

No matter which method the user chooses, the performance & functionality of DBU provides quick and easy access to all information about and contained within the DB2 database. Using DBU 6.0 analysts can research or edit field contents, reactivate deleted records and include these records for search functions, and even create database maintenance applications. Security can be tailored to user-profiles and audit trails can monitor file modifications.

DBU 6.0, currently in alpha test, is designed to complement other ProData productivity utilities for the iSeries 400 and can be packaged with SQL/PRO, RDR (Retrieve Deleted Records) or additional programmer tools offered by ProData.
