We upgraded to a new AS400 in May running V6R1. I migrated all the software but DBU doesn't work now. What do I need to do to get upgraded to run on V6R1?

Beverly,

What version of DBU software are you using? You can obtain that by using DSPDTAARA on the data area called DBUREL in the DBU software library.

The library is DBU60.

First we need to get you upgraded. DBU80 is the only supported release of DBU software and is the only version compatible with V6R1.  You can download FREE 30 days trials of our products at http://www.prodatacomputer.com/DwnldForm.rsp. This will allow you to download an executable that will help you install DBU80 software. DBU80 will run for 30 days without needing a new access code.

If you have changed your system's serial number you will need to complete the Change of Serial number process.

Serial number did change. Can I get the change of serial number from the website?

Yes you can do that and more using our Customer Login from our website at https://www.prodatacomputer.com/clients/login.rsp.

OK, then once you download the executable one of our Customer Service reps will send you the DBU80 access codes.

Our records indicate that you have a NonLPAR license for DBU. If you new configuration is LPAR there will be additional cost for an LPAR system however we will let our Customer Service representative discuss that with you.

Still NonLPAR, pretty vanilla system. I'll download and then signin and get caught up. Thanks for your help.
