If go into DBU, do F4 to look at a file layout, and take an F7 (print list), a splf is generated, DBUPRT5, user data DBU1001.  It goes to an oddball outq that has nothing to do with my iSeries user profile.  Where can I change this setting for such spooled files I generate?

The DBU print output you described will be directed to the default output queue defined for the job.  You can determine that by executing DSPJOB OPTION(*DFNA).  It is listed in the parameter for 'Default output queue'.

Never mind

I found where to change it.  Change user profile setting for print device from *WRKSTN to the desired outq.

thanks

This may be defined in either the default job description or the initial program parameters for the user profile.  We would recommend that you contact your system administrator for assistance in determining where this setting is being changed.  DBU is designed to use the Job defaults and there is no method to change this using DBU since this is a function of the operating system.  If you feel we may be able to provide additional assistance please contact us by phone at 1.800.228.6318 and use option 2 for Technical Support.
