- 1. Will your products work with an i5/OS version
upgrade?
- All of our products are compatible with all versions of i5OS and OS/400. ProData is part of IBM's Partners in Development which gives us advanced information concerning i5OS upgrades. If anyone encounters any incompatibility with any operating system that we support, changes would be made to our products immediately and made available on our web site and by using DBUPTF.
- 2. How do I make documentation available
on the System i/iSeries/AS400 from ProData's CD?
- Using Windows 98 or higher:
- Select START using the right mouse button, then select EXPLORE
- From EXPLORE... select TOOLS
- From TOOLS........ select MAP NETWORK DRIVE
- Key in Path & \\(system name).appn.sna.ibm.com
- Check the box to reconnect at log on.
- With the documentation CD in the cd tray, select PRODATA and drag and drop to the assigned drive. The documentation now resides on the System i.
- 3. Are your products tier priced?
- No, there is a flat charge for each System i/iSeries/AS400. Call us at 1-800-228-6318 or email the sales department for pricing information today.
- 4. How can I get a trial of your products?
- 1. Download from the web site (www.prodatacomputer.com).

- 5. Are there maintenance plans available?
- Yes, there are maintenance plans for DBU, DBU Audit Journal Plug-in, DBU/JDE Plug-in, RDR, SQL/PRO, DBUnifier, RSP, and STE.
- 6. What does maintenance cover?
- Annual maintenance covers new releases, operating system changes, fixes, DBUPTF support, WEB site and the technical help line.
- 7. What if my maintenance is not current?
- Call 1-800-228-6318 and you will be re-invoiced for maintenance. If you are not on the current version of DBU, it will be sent to you. The new version will work for 30 days without a permanent code. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a permanent access code.
- 8. What are your disaster recovery procedures?
- Execute DBU. If DBU has never been loaded on that system, DBU will run for 30 days without any codes. If DBU had been loaded in the past, DBU will display the message that your '30 day trial has expired'. There are two options available to reset DBU on the disaster system.
1) Contact ProData at 800.228.6318
for a disaster code. You will need to provide the disaster system serial
number and the date of the test. Office hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30am
- 5:00 pm. CST.

If this is a planned disaster recovery test, call ProData prior to your
test to receive the disaster code. You will need to provide the
disaster system serial number and the date of the test.

- 9. What is an ISO image?
- An ISO image (or .ISO file) is a computer file that is an exact copy of an existing file system. The ISO Image file contains all of the folder and/or file structure for the CD Disk in a compressed form.
